Recreational Tai Chi
About This Class:
This class is entirely focused on studying the fundamentals of Tai Chi and Qigong. This is designed for beginners and advanced students alike. Students in this class will learn fundamental movements and gain an understanding of body mechanics behind the movement and the practical martial arts applications of movements. Students will also learn the basic Qigong concepts and how Qigong and Tai Chi complement each other. Empty hand forms are part of the curriculum for this class.
Requirements:
This class is suitable for all skill levels and ability levels. Comfortable, clothing like sweat pants, t-shirt and and clean indoor shoes are all you will need for this class. Tai Chi can be quite a work out so it’s always a good idea to bring along some water.
Internal Martial Arts
About This Class:
Members of the Regina Tai Chi centre study: Taijiquan, Xingyiquan, Baguazhang and Fu Style techniques. This study includes the theory and philosophy of Chinese Martial Arts, Straight Sword (jian), Broad Sword (dao), Spear (qiang) as well as many barehand forms and applications.
Requirements:
To join the Internal Martial Arts class we recommend that students also attend the Recreational Tai Chi Class.
